Our Community

PTCers have a long history of extraordinary generosity. Our commitment to Fun Along the Way has often included sharing our success by giving money, products, volunteer hours, and charitable outreach efforts to good causes in our communities. Each month we faithfully support Treat the Troops. Baking, payroll deductions for shipping, and donations of treats and supplies have allowed us to send over 8,000 dozen cookies to deployed troops around the world, and we are still going strong.

Community News

As a certified Women's Business Enterprise, we at Phoenix Textile are proud of not only our diversity status but also of our commitment to our community. That commitment has recently earned us recognition in The Source, a HealthTrust publication, in their article SUPPLIER DIVERSITY: How Small & Diverse Companies Impact & Improve Communities.

December Treat the Troops

We had a great month for TREAT THE TROOPS with 18 large boxes being sent. To help our troops celebrate the Holiday Season the employees at Phoenix Textile added Christmas Stockings, special notes, and thank you cards letting them know we are thinking of them and appreciate their sacrifice.

Winter Events

Giving Tree

Each year Phoenix adopts a local family for Christmas. This year our It's R Community team created a special giving tree for our adopted family. Ornaments on the tree each represented a gift requested by the family and it didn't take long for the tree to be fully decorated! Santa was even on hand to load the sleigh and distribute gifts.

Past Events

Pedal the Cause

Pedal the Cause provides critical funding for cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children’s Hospital through an annual cycling challenge and other races throughout the year. This month PTCer's are raising money for Pedal the Cause by purchasing toy turtles to race on Nov 2nd. It is the hope of Pedal the Cause that research funded by Pedal the Cause will ultimately lead to a cure for cancer and Phoenix employees are proud to help support their efforts.

The Franklin House

Our first project was to ‘build’ the Franklin’s a house here in our office with a 50/50 fundraiser. Each donation added a brick, window, roof tile., etc. In one day their house was complete! We presented Nathan and Melissa with a check for $1,233 to help with expenses for their new home. Then the Phoenix team started volunteering on the actual Habitat for Humanity site. Employees were paid by Phoenix for the workdays, and we had 16 willing and able PTCers volunteer over 3 days in September. All families are required to meet a certain number of ‘friends and family hours, and we were proud to be on Team Nathan.

There are so many benefits to businesses that support causes they care about. It allows us to spread the word about our values and intentions. When customers see the charitable impact of buying from a small business that supports the community, it creates differentiation from a more anonymous big brand that doesn’t have that same human connection. It also has an impact on candidates considering joining our team. Often I have heard from visitors to PTC that there is a different attitude here. PTCers care, and it shows.

I’m proud to be on a team that Lives Generously.
